Dilasa Janvikas Pratishthan is an organisation working in natural resource management for the last 21 years with a mission to give solace to the villages by improving the conditions of water, soil and vegetation along with the empowerment of women. It has done this with a diverse team of qualified, experienced civil engineers, water resources engineers, agriculture engineers, agriculture experts, social mobilizers; most of them women. The first watershed, Kaccheghati was developed as a showcase, and NABARD considered it a textbook watershed. Dilasa is the first NGO to introduce Hot Water Chulla, different low cost structures in the watershed. Empowerment of rural women is the prime objective of Dilasa by promoting Self Help Group (SHG) movement for over a decade, and has formed more than 1,500 SHGs as of date.
It formed highest number of farmers’ producer organisations, i.e. 176 in 12 districts of Maharashtra. Accredited as an implementation agency hub by ministry of corporate affairs. Accredited by Charity Aid Foundation India.
