Guide Star No. :
Habitat for Humanity India (HFH) works towards building homes and provides housing-related services to low-income, marginalised families across India. It works in partnership with local, grassroot, non-governmental organisations and micro finance institutions throughout India to provide decent housing. It has served over 134,893 families across 20 states in India. Its vision is "A world where everyone has a decent place to live". HFH India manages operations throughout India through Habitat Resource Centres in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai with projects in 17 states in India. Habitat for Humanity’s interventions also extend beyond housing to areas of livelihoods, sanitation, water projects and disaster rehabilitation. It also engages volunteers from corporates, schools and colleges. Volunteers get to see first-hand how poverty housing undermines the life chances of children and adults alike thus offering a journey of discovery and transformation through this programme.
