Quality Education Support Trust (QUEST) is an organisation set up by a group of experienced educationists. The main objective of QUEST is to promote quality education to every individual and make education an enjoyable journey of self-discovery. QUEST focuses on working with teachers and educators to widen the reach in child-centred education, by working as a resource agency, developing replicable models of quality education for pre-school and elementary school, including development of field-tested curricular material and undertaking/ supporting research activities in the field of education. At present QUEST is working in Palghar, Thane, Dhule and Pune districts.
QUEST's Remediation Programme in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) in Jalna, supported by UNICEF, has reached 700 girls. Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) after rigorous inspection of this programme, has recommended upscaling of the programme to all 43 KGBVs spread across Maharashtra. With a grant from Sir Ratan Tata Trust QUEST is implementing ‘Strengthening of Anganwadi Programme’ in 110 Anganwadis of Parali PHC in Palghar District. QUEST has started working with 10 Ashram schools in Dhule with the support of Lupin Foundation. Around 900 students are covered under this programme. Teachers from these Ashram schools were trained for conducting level-based learning programme. QUEST started the first ever online course in basic Mathematics in Marathi. The same has been modified as a 'blended mode' course (with face-to-face contact sessions + online mentoring) under the 'Shikshak' initiative. Over 250 teachers from 7 districts have attended the course.
