Guide Star No. :
The objective of Shoshit Seva Sangh (SSS) is to provide quality education to the poorest of the poor, the children of the ‘musahar’ (rat-eater) community in Bihar, who have lived in abysmal poverty for centuries. SSS has established Shoshit Samadhan Kendra (SSK), a charitable english-medium residential school which seeks to empower its students with education, skills and character required to maximise their potential and transform lives. The school provides free tuition, boarding, lodging, clothing, healthcare and other necessities. SSS also helps its alumni to get admitted to institutions of higher education, and pays for their tuition, boarding as well as lodging at such institutions
The school got affiliation from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). ‘Gray Matters’ an organisation in Hyderabad had done an assessment of the academic standard of Shoshit Samadhan Kendra, the fully free English medium residential school run by SSS. The report indicates that the standards of academic achievement / performance of the students of SSK were not only distinctly better than the national average, but significantly better than the average performance of schools assessed by ‘Gray Matters’. It constructed a school building with all the necessary facilities including an auditorium and a dining hall to accommodate 800 students. The school has been built as per the specifications mandated by the CBSE.
